HARGEISA(SomalilandPress)–A new chapter has started in the on-going fued
between the Board of Governors at the University of Berbera and the
Regional Administration.
Mrs. Faduma Said, the Head of the Board of Governors at University of Berbera
filed two complaint cases in Sahil Regional Court against the Governor
Of Sahil; Mohamoud Ali Sulayman and managing director of Berber Port Mr.Ahmad
Yusuf Dirir. The dispute stems from an incident which resulted in the Board of
Governors being relieved of their duties and the school being handed
over to government officials.
At a news conference in Hargiesa, Mr. Faduma Said, stated the Boards
view that they were unlawfully ousted from their positions in a
recent stand-off between them and the Governemnt and because of that
she would, on the Boards behalf, submit formal complaints to the Sahil
Regional Court.
The Governor confident with his decision and sure that the move was
done in the most lawful manner stated that he was willing to
cooperate with the case and that if he was summoned he would attend
court and answer anything asked of him.Somalilandpress
