On the morning of November 21, 2011 Last HOUSSEINI Mr. Robleh Dabar, Board Member National UDJ (Union for Democracy and Justice) and Mr. Farah Abadid HILDID, member of the National Office of MRD (Movement of Democratic Renewal ) were arrested at the Independence Square without having committed any crime.
These active members of the UAD (Union for Democratic Change) are very often subject only to their membership of the national opposition Djibouti. At the Independence Square, place of arrest, individuals not involved in a event or any other anti-government.
The dictatorship in place, more and more discredited and increasingly isolated, unpopular within the country, desperate. It is unable to adopt a policy of democratic opening. So she took refuge in the repression, arbitrary arrest, illegal imprisonment and cruel treatment, inhuman and degrading as those which the two executives were victims.
First the UAD, again, severely condemns the actions listed above which torture has become routine in the Republic of Djibouti.
Second, the UAD uses the international community and especially advocacy organizations Human Rights to condemn the acts that the government of Djibouti has become customary.
Finally, the DSU asked the people of Djibouti, united behind this training, to mobilize immediately to democratic change in countries like the Arab brothers.
