Iran-13,Dec,2011-(Berberanews)-A laid-off worker in a textile factory located in the northern city of Sari, which the president of Iran was visiting, is reported by an Iranian conservative website to have thrown one of his shoes at the president, Ahmadinejad.
The unidentified man is said to be protesting and attacking the government for not receiving his unemployment benefits .The shoe missed the president and the man was immediately arrested by security officials.
Iran, currently with more than 11% unemployment rate has seen a growing dissents against Ahmadinejad’s administration.
