Ethiopia-(Berberanews)-Tigrean forces have taken control of parts of the Shawa region, 260km from the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
According to the Arab News Agency, Tigrean forces heading towards the capital have achieved new victories in the battle, after capturing the town of Senbette in Shawa Province.
Tigrean fighters have spread their social media about their capture of new settlements near the capital, and have said they have made significant progress on the battlefield.
Other units of the Tigrean army are moving east, to cut off the main road connecting the port of Djibouti to Ethiopia, the only transportation road, while the second road is the railway line between Addis Ababa and Djibouti. and pass through the city of Dire Dawa.
