Hargeisa-(Berberanews)-Acting Somali Ambassador and Deputy Ambassador Tim Trenkle, along with a delegation led by him, arrived in Hargeisa, Somaliland, today.
D.R Isse Kayd Mohamud, Somaliland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met the delegation at Hargeisa’s Igal Airport.
In Hargeisa, the delegation met with Somaliland’s President, Muse Bihi Abdi. According to a Presidency news release, President Bihi briefed Ambassador Tim Trenkleon on the situation in Lascaanod, where there has been fighting for two weeks.
The ambassador also discussed with the President how to restart the planned talks between the governments of Somaliland and Somalia.
